Digitalisation in the era of IoT, cloud and big data changes the profile of the consumers, employees and the practice of management and business administration as we know it: computers and smart connected devices not only modify the way consumers keep themselves informed and buy, but even replace specialists on some jobs and influence, by consequence, the decision-making processes. This is why, without fearing a speculative approach, we might ask ourselves legitimately whether the way managers think and make decisions is about to change as the digital economy begins its rein, which is the main topic that the mini-track will address.
The main topics covered by the hereby call for paper are related to:
- Millennials as employees and consumers
- Digital marketing (SEM, mobile marketing, digital communication)
- Social Media strategy
- ERP and cloud systems as part of the business organization
- IoT and competitive strategies in smart products’ markets
Associate Professor Florina Pînzaru teaches General Management and Fundamentals of Marketing at the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA), Bucharest, Romania. She is also Dean of the Faculty of Management of SNSPA since 2011 and Head of The Research Center in Management and Leadership of SNSPA.
Florina Pînzaru has more than 10 years of experience as marketer for important Romanian enterprises and multinational corporations in furniture, energy and utilities. Her latest consultancy and research projects are focused on the digital strategies of companies as part of their strategic business approaches.
Some of Mrs. Pînzaru’s most important publications are „Marketing Handbook: Classic Principles and Modern Efficient Techniques” (in Romanian: „Manual de marketing: principii clasice și tehnici moderne eficiente”), C.H. Beck, Bucharest, 2009 and “Congratulations, You Are a Manager Now!” (in Romanian, “Felicitări, ai fost promovat manager!”), Tritonic, Bucharest, 2013.

Sorin Anagnoste is a Management Consultant at one of the most important companies on strategic management on the local market, but also Lecturer at Faculty of Business Administration (FABIZ) from The Academy of Economic Studies (ASE) from Bucharest.
He has over 10 years of experience in companies across different industries (FMCG, Oil&Gas, Financial Services, Consulting), in roles like Business Analyst, Finance Manager, Management Consultant or/and Lecturer.
After graduating the Faculty of International Economic Relations at ASE in 2008 he enrolled for a PhD under the same institution which he successfully graduated in 2011.
Starting August 2013 he holds an international project management certification – PRINCE2;
In his current role Sorin has developed a Center of Excellence (CoE) in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) where he leads a team of over 50 people covering projects all over the world. The CoE is offering or developing business solutions like cognitive intelligence, machine learning, chatbots and artificial intelligence.
His competences already have been in the area of Automation, Innovation Management, Strategic Management, Due Diligence, Change Management, Mergers&Aquisitions, Teaching and Training.
Sorin is frequently invited as guest speaker to workshops and seminars.
The conference is organized by Society for Business Excellence and UNESCO Department for Business Administration on the 21-22 of March 2019 at The Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Faculty of Business Administration in Foreign Languages (FABIZ) in partnership with the Romanian Academy, the University of Bucharest and the Sapienza University from Rome, Italy. The papers accepted at ICBE 2019 will be published in the conference proceedings, subject to author registration, payment and presentation. The papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings volume under the German Publishing House De Gruyter and they will be indexed in EBSCO, Proquest, ExLibris, OCLC, Google Scholar, Microsoft Academic, CELDES, CNPIE, Naviga, and will be submitted to Thomson Reuters ISI Web of Science (WOS) Conference Proceedings Citation Index (https://content.sciendo.com/view/journals/picbe/picbe-overview.xml)
Important! Papers presented to the International Conference on Business Excellence (ICBE 2019) will be considered for publication in a Special Issue of the Sustainability Journal, indexed Web of Science, Impact Factor: 1.789 (2016); 5-Year Impact Factor: 1.850 (2016); http://www.mdpi.com/journal/sustainability.
In addition, the best three Papers (Best paper Award Management&Marketing) will be published in the international journal Management & Marketing. Challenges for the Knowledge Society by De Gruyter Open, indexed in Web of Science- Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), Scopus, Proquest, Cabell’s Directory and more than 20 other international databases
At the final ceremony, based on a international committee selection, there will be granted three Best Paper Award Management&Marketing, two Excellence Awards and two Best Paper Awards of the Journal of Economic Forecasting, indexed in Web of Science (http://www.ipe.ro/rjef.htm).

As a first step, we require a 300-word abstract which is to be received by the 15th of September 2018. Submissions must be made using the online submission form available at www.bizexcellence.ro/icbe and the final paper should be accompanied by publishing agreements and declaration of originality.
