Business excellence is about achieving superior business results in relation to the competitors by means of developing and strengthening the management systems and processes of an organization; it is targeted at improving performance and delivering value for all the stakeholders, in a three-dimensional space characterized by uncertainty, complexity and dynamism.
The first goal of this international conference is to reunite specialists from the triple-helix fields: university and research, consultancy and business, and policy making pursuant to optimizing the business added value by providing a stimulating environment for knowledge and knowhow business excellence transfers and alliance formation.
The second goal of this international conference relates to bridging the Romanian business environment with the international business environment by ensuring a better understanding of new challenges, opportunities and threats generated by globalization and competition in general and in fields like energy, social entrepreneurship and others.
The third goal is to place in this newly emergent context the architecture of the business administration higher education by championing new and challenging programs meant to equip the students for a more aggressive competitive business ecosystem.

The conference is organized by Society for Business Excellence and UNESCO Department for Business Administration on the 21-22 of March 2019 at The Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Faculty of Business Administration in Foreign Languages (FABIZ) in partnership with the Romanian Academy, the University of Bucharest and the Sapienza University from Rome, Italy. The papers accepted at ICBE 2018 will be published in the conference proceedings, subject to author registration, payment and presentation.
The presented papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings volume under the German Publishing House De Gruyter and they will be indexed in EBSCO, Proquest, ExLibris, OCLC, Google Scholar, Microsoft Academic, CELDES, CNPIE, Naviga, and will be submitted to Thomson Reuters ISI Web of Science (WOS) Conference Proceedings Citation Index. Important! Papers presented to the International Conference on Business Excellence (ICBE 2019) will be considered for publication in a Special Issue of the Sustainability Journal, indexed Web of Science, Impact Factor: 1.789 (2016); 5-Year Impact Factor: 1.850 (2016); http://www.mdpi.com/journal/sustainability.
In addition, the best three Papers (Best paper Award Management&Marketing) will be published in the international journal Management & Marketing. Challenges for the Knowledge Society by De Gruyter Open, indexed in Web of Science- Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), Scopus, Proquest, Cabell’s Directory and more than 20 other international databases (www.degruyter.com/view/j/mmcks).
At the final ceremony, based on a international committee selection, there will be granted three Best Paper Award Management&Marketing, two Excellence Awards and two Best Paper Awards of the Journal of Economic Forecasting, indexed in Web of Science (http://www.ipe.ro/rjef.htm).
The ambiance of Bucharest, the Capital city of Romania, was previously associated with Paris, being named ‘Little Paris’, with touristic attractions such as C.E.C. Palace, Royal Parliament and the Old Town, one of the most populated areas of the Capital.
